(NaturalNews) In the days before President Obama rolled out 23 executive actions aimed at curbing Second Amendment rights – some of which have transformed doctors and healthcare providers into gun snitches – New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo beat him to the punch by signing into law the most restrictive gun control legislation in the country.
Citing the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting as his impetus, Cuomo made good on a promise spelled out during an emotional State of the State address earlier, in which he vowed to pass new restrictions on military look-alike rifles, semi-auto magazines and persons who are suspected of being mentally ill.
“You can overpower the extremists with intelligence and common sense,” Cuomo bragged upon signing the new legislation Jan. 15, oblivious, of course, to his own extremism.
The problem; however, is that the legislation immediately transforms law-abiding New Yorkers into criminals because provisions of the law are retroactive; in other words, what Cuomo has signed is an ex post facto law, a measure that criminalizes someone for something that was legal when they did it. (For the record, ex post facto laws are prohibited by the U.S. Constitution, under Article 1, Sect. 9 and Article 1, Sect.10, the latter section of which applies specifically to states.)
So why pass such legislation at all- The answer is arrogance. Politicians like Cuomo, a Democrat in a state dominated by his party for decades, aren’t bothered by what is legal and proper because they believe they are above reproach. Further, they know that the political and legal mechanisms put in place to hold people like him accountable won’t be utilized because they are staffed by like-minded individuals.

Nevertheless, not all New York lawmakers took part in this massive usurpation of power.
“I simply cannot support a bill that turns law abiding citizens into criminals by creating an entire new category of illegal firearms out of currently legal rifles and shotguns,” state Sen. Greg Ball, a Republican, said in a statement the evening the Assembly passed the restrictive new bill.
“We needed solid provisions to keep the violently, mentally ill from harming our communities, our kids and our families. That didn’t happen tonight,” he said. “While much in this bill, as far as stiffer penalties for real criminals and help on the mental health front is good, the last minute push, in the middle of the night without critical public input from sportsmen and taxpayers was outrageous and forced members to vote on a bill they had not read.”

“We haven’t saved any lives tonight, except one: the political life of a governor who wants to be president,” Ball later said on the Senate floor. He went on to say that most members of the chamber were willing to turn law-abiding residents into criminals “hoping on the front pages that we will be seen as preventing tragedies.”
“Good night, I voted no and I only wish I could have done it twice,” he concluded.
‘It strains credibility’
Sen. John Bonacic, another Republican, echoed Ball’s sentiments, saying that despite the tough new restrictions on guns and ammunition, insane criminal acts involving firearms would not end.
“I sincerely hope this law does stop another massacre, but I honestly believe it is nothing more than window dressing designed to make people feel secure until the next tragedy strikes – all while criminalizing the actions of otherwise law abiding citizens,” he said in a statement.
Bonacic was especially perplexed by a provision in the law forbidding gun owners from possessing more than seven rounds in a 10-round magazine, “something irrelevant to a criminal.”
“Under the legislation, magazines people now own, which are capable of holding ten rounds (bullets) continue to be legal, but a person may only load seven rounds in them,” he said. “It strains credibility to believe a criminal bent on a massacre is going to load only seven bullets in a ten round magazine. Law abiding citizens, on the other hand, who erroneously load too many bullets in a magazine, would be criminals under the legislation.”
Other parts of the law requires mental health professionals and therapists to report to state authorities perceived threats of gun violence by “mental health” patients, who could then have their guns confiscated – similar to provisions being pushed by Obama on a federal level.

However, how accurate are the statistics and what is the truth behind the flu related deaths the media scares us with- (The following information was taken directly from the governmental website for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.)
When people hear about influenza related deaths, they are influenced into thinking that these deaths are directly caused by the flu. However, as stated by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website, “Seasonal influenza-related deaths are deaths that occur in people for whom seasonal influenza infection was LIKELY a contributor to the cause of death, but NOT necessarily the primary cause of death.” So what does this mean- It means that the flu related deaths are nothing more than speculation. In fact, continuing through the website you can find information regarding how the CDC calculates the number of influenza deaths. “Many seasonal flu-related deaths occur one or two weeks after a person’s initial infection, either because the person may develop a secondary bacterial co-infection (such as bacterial pneumonia) or because seasonal influenza can aggravate an existing chronic illness (such as congestive heart failure or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).” Therefore, it seems that the real problem is not focusing on the flu virus. The problem is that people have very weak immune systems and extremely poor health in general. This is part of the reason why as stated on the CDC website, 90 percent of those who die from influenza related disease are over the age of 65. At that point in our lives, our bodies in general are starting to deteriorate so we must make sure we do everything we can to keep them thriving.
Another important fact that can be found on the CDC website is that the CDC does not believe that influenza is the cause of most pneumonia and influenza related deaths. “Only a small proportion of deaths in either of these two categories are estimated to be influenza-related. CDC estimated that only 8.5% of all pneumonia and influenza deaths and only 2.1% of all respiratory and circulatory deaths were influenza-related.” This is a very interesting point that makes you wonder, why is there such an immense amount of publicity about the seriousness of influenza related deaths when the CDC states on their website that about 2.1 percent of respiratory deaths are influenza related-
So what should you take away from this information- Well for one, do not stress about getting the flu. We know stress depresses your immune system and that is definitely not going to help your chances at beating the flu. If you do end up getting the virus, make sure you take care of yourself with proper sleep, liquids and vitamins. Try taking vitamin D3, zinc, vitamin A and selenium among others. All of these have been shown to boost immune response in individuals. Secondly, the problem with this sudden influx of influenza infections is most likely due to our nation’s poor nutritional lifestyles, which create incapable immune systems. Let’s start focusing on creating healthy bodies rather than short cuts to try and “beat” the flu.

Vitamins don’t yield energy directly as carbohydrates, proteins and fats do. Yet, as the root of the word “vitamin” indicates, they are vital. As is the case for all vitamins, your body only requires small amounts of B vitamins, including vitamin B-12. And like many vitamins, B-12 works as a team player to regulate body processes and keep you healthy and energetic.
Scientists generally classify nine vitamins as water-soluble and four as fat-soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins need fat to be absorbed or transported in your body, and any excess tends to get stored in fatty tissues. In contrast, water-soluble vitamins readily travel in your bloodstream, and your body can more easily excrete any excess in your urine. In the water-soluble category, vitamin C is the only non-B-complex vitamin, while B-12 and the remaining seven vitamins belong to the B-complex group.
Your body uses vitamin B-12 in different forms, all of which are attached to the mineral cobalt. You might even hear the terms vitamin B-12 and cobalamins used interchangeably. Its active forms in human metabolism are methylcobalamin and 5-deoxyadenosylcobalamin. (NaturalNews) Chicken and oregano may seem like an obvious pairing to culinary enthusiasts, but at least one Pennsylvania farm is demonstrating its extraordinary health benefits in food production as well. For three years or so, chickens at Bell & Evans have been dining on a special feed laced with oregano oil and cinnamon, to protect against the bacterial diseases all too common among commercial food producers.
The farm, whose products have long been free of antibiotics, has enjoyed financial success thanks to the growing market of increasingly better informed consumers who demand organic, chemical-free meats. Owner Scott Sechler told the New York Times recently that the oregano oil concoction has proven more effective than any other substitute used by the farm in the past.
Oregano oil is healthier and more effective than antibiotics
In fact, studies show oregano oil has repeatedly outperformed even antibiotics themselves. By the late 1990s, the German pharmaceutical company Bayer was conducting trials on an oregano oil product known as Ropadiar — the European name for the very same product, called By-O-Reg Plus, currently used at Bill & Evans. The studies compared the effectiveness of the oregano oil in fighting E. coli symptoms in piglets, with that of four of the company’s own antibiotics. In all four test groups, Ropadiar was the clear winner. In a report on the studies, Bayer product manager Dr. Lucio Nisoli wrote: “Compared to the various anti-infectives, with Ropadiar I have obtained much more effective and quicker results. Furthermore, piglets treated with Ropadiar look much more healthy and were not so dehydrated and wasted.” The company later indicated that results of this study could not be replicated.
Still, other studies offer reason to hope. One conducted on four small farms in Maine found that oregano oil helps protect goats and sheep against parasites and worms. And a separate study led by Dr. Harry G. Preuss, a professor of physiology and biology at the Georgetown University Medical Center, discovered that mice infected with staph bacteria who were fed oregano oil lived nearly twice as long as staph-infected mice fed a mixture of olive oil and carvacrol (the suspected antibacterial component in oregano) and about ten times longer than staph-infected mice fed only olive oil. In fact, this last group of mice had all died within just three days.
Preuss’s study, which was presented at a 2001 meeting of the American College of Nutrition, has been repeated and its findings corroborated, a scientific development Dr. Preuss describes as “really promising, particularly when you consider that we are facing a crisis in our hospitals and health systems with the increasing resistance to antibiotics.”
Antibiotics do more harm than good
Growing concern over the excessive use of antibiotics is understandable, given the rise of increasingly resistant deadly bacteria, which can be unresponsive to more than one form of antibiotic, including (as with CRE, or Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae) those considered by modern medicine to be the last line of defense.
The odds of such deadly bacteria being passed on to consumers seems only exacerbated by the already excessive use of antibiotics by conventional meat producers. According to analysis of Food and Drug Administration data by the Center for Science in the Public Interest, 80 percent of all the antibiotics sold in the United States are administered to animals, with the majority of them intended to enhance growth unnaturally or prevent the spread of infection among animals suffering in overcrowded conditions — clear evidence that there is more wrong with conventional food production than just the overuse of antibiotics.
Quality farming is not one-dimensional
Sechler acknowledges there’s more to his success than just the substitution of oregano oil for antibiotics. He also emphasizes the importance of solid nutritional standards for the animals, as well as a clean housing operation with plenty of ventilation and light. “You can’t just replace antibiotics with oregano oil and expect it to work,” Sechler said. At Bell & Evans, after chickens are harvested and sent to slaughter, workers hose down the barn, clean out the water lines, disinfect everything and then keep the space empty for two to three weeks to allow harmful bacteria and micro-organisms to die off, while also ridding the premises of any disease-transmitting rodents.
As word spreads of Sechler’s success, other farms are beginning to follow the Bell & Evans example. Bob Ruth, president of Pennsylvania-based Country View Family Farms, began testing a By-O-Reg laced feed on 5,000 of his own pigs for the last six months or so. Preliminary results so far, he said, are encouraging.

CNN producers invited Alex Jones to appear as a guest on Piers Morgan’s show, no doubt to help increase the lagging ratings of Morgan’s show which only has a fraction of the viewers of the Alex Jones Show. There, Alex began by schooling Morgan on the purpose of the Second Amendment:

They’ve taken everybody’s guns, but the Swiss and the American people and when they get our guns, they can have their world tyranny while the government buys 1.6 billion bullets, armored vehicles, tanks, helicopters, predator drones, armed now in U.S. skies, being used to arrest people in North Dakota. The Second Amendment isn’t there for duck hunting. It’s there to protect us from tyrannical government and street thugs…
During the interview, Piers Morgan attempted to set up Alex with a scripted set of narrowly-worded questions designed to cast the full blame for recent killings on gun owners. But Alex refused to fall for the trap and instead redirect the conversation to the issue of the psychiatric drugging of children and the fact that psych drugs are “suicide pills” behind nearly every violent shooting.
Morgan then tried to paint Alex as a “conspiracy theorist” by asking if he believed the Bush administration was behind the 9/11 twin towers bombing. Alex Jones correctly answered that the destruction of building 7 was carried out by criminal elements within the government, but not the entire government itself.
Without question, Alex Jones was animated, excited and fully engaged in a battle of words over the fundamental rights of the American people. Right on cue, this was immediately branded “paranoid” and “dangerous” as soon as Alex was prematurely kicked off the show by Morgan and CNN producers. Although Alex was promised three live segments with Piers Morgan, CNN predictably lied and pulled Alex off the set while one of the producers was “in tears” talking about what a disaster the show had become (yeah, a disaster from the point of view of the criminal, corrupt media).
Once Alex was pulled off the show, Piers Morgan and his next guest then proceeded to viciously demonize Alex only after he could no longer respond. They wanted viewers to think Alex was a crazy person for daring to express the very same outrage many of us already feel about the illegal, unconstitutional gun-grabbing schemes of Senator Feinstein and the liar-in-chief Obama.
It’s crazy in America, of course, to question the official government explanation on anything. It’s crazy to open your eyes and question the government’s lies on vaccines, health care, 9/11, the Federal Reserve, the cancer industry and the Bill of Rights. If being awakened is to be labeled as crazy, then half the country must be crazy, and Alex is one of the few people willing to look the enemy in the eye and tell the truth, even knowing he would be viciously attacked the minute he left the stage.

Alex asked me to fill in as a guest host for his nationwide radio show on Monday, and we had a fantastic show with amazing interviews, live calls from listeners and even a bit of humor thanks to a Dianne Feinstein sock puppet which screamed, live on air, “I’m going to kick down your doors, throw a flashbang in your house and take your guns!”
Humor and satire are part of the fun we have with tyrants. People like Piers Morgan absolutely boil when they’re made fun of by others who point out their total hypocrisy on issues like gun control. (Morgan himself has been spotted with armed bodyguards.) That’s why both myself and Alex Jones frequently resort to satire to make a point. And because we’re both creative people, we sometimes push the boundaries of satire to new levels that are a bit shocking to people who aren’t used to being shaken awake by real truth.
During the Piers Morgan interview, for example, Alex Jones slid right into a snobbish British accent, continuing his barrage of intelligent questions and challenges to Morgan, who sat there and answered with the classic high school drama response of: “Whatever.”
This past weekend, Alex called me to ask if I would fill in for him on the Monday show, and I said of course, I’d be happy to step up here in Austin while he flew off to face the liberty-crushing professional liars who run the mainstream media. During that conversation, Alex said he absolutely knew he was headed right into the jaws of the enemy, but that he wasn’t going to be intimidated by anyone and would face the enemies of freedom eye to eye, man to man.
And he did exactly that.
This is why Alex is the real deal who has orders of magnitude more fans than Piers Morgan. Alex is a giant of moral courage and universal truth. Is he sometimes belligerent and loud- Absolutely! But that’s his justified outrage at the reality that America is being gutted by evil globalists who are destroying our Bill of Rights, our economy, our jobs, our freedoms and our future in a dastardly scheme of planned destruction.
In my view, we should all be as outraged as Alex Jones. If America’s founding fathers were alive today, they would be similarly outraged and vocal.
Betrayers of human freedom like Piers Morgan want us all to have a polite, “proper debate” as he calls it — all while he’s disarming you, your family and your neighbors while monopolizing guns and ammunition in the hands of a government that has already proven itself to be outrageously tyrannical and oppressive in countless ways. That’s the trap: the demand of civility in a time when our nation is being utterly destroyed by what can only be called acts of treason by politicians and bureaucrats who are attempting to disarm and dominate the American people.
I understand that Alex Jones is a polarizing figure. But so was Samuel Adams. So was Thomas Jefferson. So was George Washington. They stood up to tyranny and shouted down British oppression in much the same way that Alex Jones did last night on CNN. Alex’s response to tyranny is wholly American, and his expression of outrage at the incredible injustices now being forced upon the American people is shared by tens of millions of liberty-loving Americans who have all had “enough!”
If our only aim is to remain polite and “proper,” we will all be quietly enslaved, disarmed, bankrupted and corralled into the dark depths of government corruption and coercion. The time to be polite is over. It’s time we all got fired up and called the bluff of the corrupt, criminal elite.
